Joel and his partners founded KPRS over two decades ago, when they saw the opportunity to set out and create a new company with a diverse set of offerings at a wide range of expertise.

Prior to KPRS, Joel was a noted leader at several nationwide firms, constructing many well-known and significant projects throughout the region.

At Turner Construction, he worked in the Southern California market on the Library Square and The Gas Tower in Los Angeles. At Thomas Maguire Partners, the developer for Playa Vista, he was the Vice President of Construction. He held a key role in building Playa Vista’s multibillion dollar, 1,000-acre commercial and residential mixed-use site near Marina del Rey. He then moved to Kajima Construction, as Vice President and General Manager of Los Angeles, where he oversaw construction on The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, and Pac Bell Park in San Francisco.

Joel’s passion for construction developed at a young age as he learned from his father who was also a general contractor. Joel received his Bachelor’s in Construction Management from Arizona State University.
